Blu-ray won the struggle between HD and Blu-ray discs. While HD had exciting features, blu-ray capabilities were well beyond what researchers could have ever expected. Blu-ray is expected to stick around for many years to come, but what sort of enhancements can we also expect to be introduced to blu-ray players? Well many are suggesting that 3D imagery and technology will soon be the normal accessory to blu-ray players. Currently there are several 3D televisions and monitors available on the market. As these products begin to pickup in popularity, 3D blu-ray players will become more prominent. Undoubtedly, movies and video games will be done with blu-ray capabilities so it’s reasonable to believe that their products will be switch over to 3D.
Blu-ray 3D players are already available but the 3D revolution is yet to take off. The momentum behind the craze is still building. The affordability of the products is still border-line with some 3D televisions costing several thousands. Once the price begins to drop and these products become more recognize, blu-ray will be in for a big surprise.
