If you’ve been following the headlines then you probably already know that the gaming industry is heading in a 3D imagery direction. 3D products are starting a new revolution and with 3D televisions and monitors already on the market, high quality 3D games will be here before the end of the year. 3D imagery will require advanced glasses and televisions or monitors in order to capture the true 3d experience. While you can see 3D imagery on a regular screen, 3D screens enhance the quality and produce far more satisfying results. The gaming industry is expected to be revitalized by the introduction of 3D products into the market.

Sony, the developers of the renowned gaming console, PlayStation 3, released an update that allows the PS3 to handle 3D games. Quite obviously, this update would have never been released if the company didn’t expect 3D games to be released for their console. Xbox 360 has remained quieter on 3D gaming announcement. Currently, Microsoft hasn’t made any new updates or releases to prepare the console for the technology. However, many have stated that the Xbox 360 could handle plenty of 3D power and it’s expected that Microsoft will announce this capability within the coming months.
